Refund & Return Policy.

Exactly what's refundable, what's not, how to claim, and what to expect. Written in plain English and honoured in full.

The 60-second summary

Unopened products: full refund within 7 days of delivery. Damaged or wrong items: replaced free, no questions. Wrong design or size you ordered: we cover return shipping and send a replacement. Skin reaction: full refund + medical costs. Custom commissions: refundable before we start drawing. Everything else (opened products, early fading from misuse, change-of-mind after opening): not refundable, but we'll usually offer a discount on your next order to make it right.

Full refund or free replacement
Eligible

Parcel arrived damaged

The package was torn, crushed, water-damaged, or the products inside are physically broken or unusable. Send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery.

Action: free replacement, shipped same day

We sent the wrong item

You ordered design X and received design Y. Or you ordered a medium and got a small. Or the custom design isn't yours. Our mistake entirely.

Action: free replacement + retain the wrong item (no return required)

Unopened product, returned within 7 days

You changed your mind, haven't broken the seal on any tattoo sleeve, and want to return the entire order. Return within 7 days of delivery. We cover return courier via pickup.

Action: full refund to original payment method

Skin reaction within 48 hours

You applied the tattoo and experienced redness, itching, swelling, or bumps that persisted beyond normal curing. Send photo + order number. Extremely rare but fully covered.

Action: full refund + medical costs up to ₹3,000 + batch recalled

Application failure (first tattoo)

You followed the instructions and the ink failed to transfer or transferred partially. Only applies to the first tattoo in an order — second attempts with remaining tattoos are not covered.

Faded in under 5 days (on approved placement)

You placed it on an upper arm, back, or thigh (not fingers/wrist/hands) and it faded in under 5 days despite normal wear. May indicate a batch issue. We replace.

Custom commission cancelled before drafting starts

You submitted a custom request and paid, then changed your mind before we started the actual drawing. Cancel within 24 hours of payment for a full refund.

Custom commission cancelled after draft, before production

You received the digital proof and don't want to proceed. Refund minus drafting fee (40% of total) for the artist's time.

Parcel lost in transit

Courier tracking shows no movement for 7+ days, or is marked lost. We file a claim with the courier and ship a free replacement immediately.

Parcel delayed over 14 days

If delivery takes more than 14 working days (double our normal maximum) and you no longer want it, you can cancel and get a full refund.

Opened products

Once a tattoo sleeve seal is broken, we can't resell it — and tattoos are personal-use items for hygiene reasons. Only unopened items qualify for change-of-mind returns.

Faded faster than expected on high-friction areas

Fingers, hands, knuckles, feet, and wrists naturally fade in 4–7 days. We publish this lifespan clearly on our application guide. Not a defect.

Misapplication after the first tattoo

We cover the first application failure. If the second, third, or fourth tattoo in the same order also fails to transfer due to technique issues, that falls on application rather than product.

Used against guidelines

Applied over broken skin, tattoo ink, chemical peels, or immediately after shaving. Applied to an infant under age 3. Left on under wet dressings for days at a time.

Custom commission after production

Once your approved custom design has been printed and shipped, it can't be refunded — it's been made specifically for you and can't be resold. Revisions are covered during the drafting phase.

Aesthetic disappointment with a ready-made design

If the tattoo looks exactly like what was shown on the product page, but you feel the size or style doesn't suit you, that's not a defect. Unopened items within 7 days can still be returned.

Goodwill: if unopened, we accept the return even past 7 days usually
04 / How to claim

The process

Email support@annaztatto.shop or WhatsApp +91 96397 84727. Include: your order number (sent on confirmation email), a brief description of the issue, and any relevant photos.

Claim window: 48 hours for damage · 7 days for change-of-mind · 14 days for batch defects

We acknowledge within 24 hours

A real person (one of our support team of two) will reply within 24 hours. We'll confirm whether your claim qualifies, request any additional info needed, or approve the refund/replacement right away.

Usually faster on WhatsApp during studio hours

Resolution decided

Depending on your case: (a) refund approved — we initiate on the same day; (b) replacement approved — we ship same or next day; (c) partial refund offered — if applicable, we explain the calculation; (d) claim declined — we explain why clearly, and offer goodwill alternatives where possible.

Most cases resolve within 24 hours of contact

Return shipping (only if required)

For unopened product returns, we arrange courier pickup from your address within 2 working days at no cost to you. For damaged or wrong items, you keep them — no return shipping needed. For custom commissions after production, we request the item back only if you want a refund (rare).

Covered by us in all valid claims

Refund processed to original payment method

Once approved, refunds are issued to the same payment method used for purchase — UPI, card, net banking, or wallet. COD orders are refunded via UPI to an account you provide. Bank processing takes an additional 5–7 working days, outside our control.

Goodwill policy

Not every situation falls cleanly into "refundable" or "not refundable." We keep a goodwill budget specifically for grey-area cases, because we'd rather resolve something with a discount on your next order than leave you feeling short-changed.

If your case isn't listed here or on either side's definite list, ask anyway. Most of our best customers started as people with a weird edge case, and we treat them as conversations rather than tickets.
